Jesus said: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
These words of Christ are final and without exception. It is therefore imperative that everyone inquire diligently, with regard to this experience.

You can DRIFT into Hell,
But you cannot DRIFT into Heaven!

Now, what is the food for
the inner man? Not prayer,
but the Word of God;
and here again, not the
simple reading of the Word
of God...but considering
what we read, pondering
over it, and applying it to
our hearts.

If a man be not absolutely determined to give up his sins and evil companions, and have his soul saved at all hazards, and at every expense, he will surely perish everlastingly. This requires a violent earnestness.

John 3;3: …verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God;

Nicodemus, according to the general sense of the nation, thought that when the Messiah came, and his kingdom was set up, they should all share in it, without any more ado; they being the descendants of Abraham, and having him for their father: but Christ assures him, that he must be "born again"; in distinction from, and opposition to his first birth by nature; in which he was vile, polluted, carnal, and corrupt, being conceived in sin, and shapen in iniquity, and was a transgressor from the womb, and by nature a child of wrath; and in opposition to his descent from Abraham, or being born of him, and of his seed; for this would be of no avail to him in this case, nor give him any right to the privileges and ordinances of the kingdom of God, or the Gospel dispensation; see Mt 3:9;

GO ON

J.O. McClurkan

You will only keep the grace you now have by going on and seeking more.  There are heights, depths, and breadths in the great Father’s heart that you know but little about.  Press on to be filled with all his fullness.  (Eph. 3:19.)  If I had but one message to holiness people, it would be, Go deeper – press on to know him in all his preciousness.  Exalt him more and more until your heart is a sea of glory – a garden where all the rich graces of the Spirit bloom, a temple filled with his beauty – yea, the palace from which the royal wealth of heaven’s King shall go forth to bless this old world in a thousand ways.

What Holiness means to me
George B. Ferguson

To say with deep sincerity and out of a pure heart, that, “I praise the Lord for wholly sanctifying my heart”, covers a multitude of expressions concerning holiness. The depth of meaning in the word “holiness” goes to the core of the individual personality; cleansing every root of our being, that we might be fashioned in the image of God.

Sin must be pardoned, and the impurity of the heart washed away, before any soul can possibly enter into the kingdom of God. As this new birth implies the renewing of the whole soul in righteousness and true holiness, it is not a matter that may be dispensed with: heaven is a place of holiness, and nothing but what is like itself can ever enter into it.

VOLKOME HEILIGMAKING

Press on to Sanctification
(By John Fletcher)

Entire sanctification is an instantaneous salvation – that act of the Holy Ghost, according to our faith, by which sin is entirely expelled from the soul, when the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth from all sin, and includes an instantaneous power then given, always to cleave to God.

A Flexible Spirit to know God's Willwatchman-nee

You must have a flexible spirit. That is one of the first principles of revival. A meeting that cannot become elastic and subject to the movements of God, becomes a dead block in the way of the Spirit. The human spirit must be so sensitive to the Holy Spirit that just as He spoke to Philip, and said "Join yourself to this chariot,"so He may make known His will to you, and get as ready a response.

A Sure Salvation

Can a believer know that he has eternal life? Can he know that he is already saved? Concerning this matter, I would not say anything and would not ask you to say anything. Let this book—the Bible—speak to us. Let us now read a few portions of the Scriptures to see if we can know that we have eternal life.

Christ Our Life

Many Christians have a wrong concept about the Lord Jesus. They think that the Lord set up a good pattern for us while He was on earth and that we should imitate this pattern. It is true that the Bible charges us to imitate the Lord (Rom. 15:5; 1 Cor. 11:1; etc.). But the Bible does not tell us to do this by ourselves. There is something we must see before we can imitate Him. Many people want to imitate the Lord, but they repeatedly fail. They regard the Lord like they regard good Chinese calligraphy, something to be copied stroke by stroke. They do not realize how frail man is and that no fleshly energy could give man enough strength to imitate Him.

Crucified Life

You believe in the death of the Lord Jesus and you believe in the death of the thieves with Him. Now what about your own death?  Your crucifixion is more intimate than theirs. They were crucified at the same time as the Lord but on different crosses, whereas you were crucified on the selfsame cross as He, for you were in Him when He died.  How can you know?  You can know for the one sufficient reason that God said so. It does not depend on your feelings. If you feel that Christ has died, He has died; and if you do not feel that He has died, He had died. If you feel that you have died, you have died; and if you do not feel that you have died, you have nevertheless just as surely died. These are divine facts. That Christ has died is a fact, that the two thieves have died is a fact, andt hat you have died is a fact also. Let me tell you, You have died! You are done with! You are ruled out! The self you loathe is on the Cross of Christ.  And "he that is dead is freed from sin" (Romans 6:7 Amplified). This is theGospel for Christians.

Deliverance

It is possible for a person to be free from sin immediately after he has believed in the Lord. However, this may not be the common experience of all believers. After believing in the Lord, many people fall back into sin instead of being freed from sin. It is true that they are saved. They belong to the Lord and possess eternal life. However, they are still troubled by sin and are unable to serve the Lord as they wish.

How to overcome Tempter

"He who overcomes will inherit these things" (Rev. 21:7)
Knowing that it is not we who are fighting against the Devil, but God.

Prayer a Divine Necessity

(The following is an excerp from an article by Evan Roberts.  It originally appeared in The Overcomer, Vol 4, published by The "Overcomer" Office, Leicester, England, February 1912,  The paragraphs below reflect the order in Watchman Nee's publication.)
If God can do things without prayer in the church, why does He not carry them out in His own time instead of delays and hindrances?... And why does God lay a complaint against the church that she does not pray?... Why did Christ say, "Pray ye the Lord of the Harvest to send forth labourers?" Why did He not send them apart from prayer?

The New Life Indwelling

It is only through knowing God first as the God of Isaac that we can move on to know Him as the God of Jacob. Unless we know our inheritance as something already secured and settled in Christ and given to us by God, we have no foundation for going on. To be brought under the discipline of the Spirit, without first knowing that assurance of a work of God already done in Christ, would be a terrible thing.

The Ten Virgins

This parable may be divided into seven parts: (1) the ten virgins going forth to meet the bridegroom (v.1); (2) the two different classes of virgins (vv.2-4); (3) their history or process (vv. 5-7); (4) the discovery of a lack (vv. 8-9); (5) the distinction (v.10); (6) the request of the foolish (vv.11-12); and (7) the lesson (v.13)

Waste

"And while He was in Bethany at the home of Simon the leper, and reclining at the table, there came a woman with an alabaster vial of very costly perfume of pure nard; and she broke the vial and poured it over His head. But some were indignantly remarking to one another, "Why has this perfume been wasted?"For this perfume might have been sold for over three hundred denarii, and the money given to the poor." And they were scolding her. But Jesus said, "Let her alone; why do you bother her? She has done a good deed to Me. "For the poor you always have with you, and whenever you wish, you can do them good; but you do not always have Me."She has done what she could; she has anointed My body beforehand for the burial. "And truly I say to you, wherever the gospel is preached in the whole world, that also which this woman has done shall be spoken of in memory of her.""
